Da Bears
Woo hoo!!!!
The day I've patiently been awaiting for. Game day. The first game of the Bears 2006-2007 season. The "champagne campaign" season. The Return of Rex season. The Return of the Midway Monsters season. The return of the NFL coach of the year. The return of the 6 Pro Bowlers. The return of the purpose of my life.
If you don't know, there is nothing more I love than the Chicago Bears. I live for them as they live for me. We are interconnected. We are one and the same.
And how fricken cool is it that Game 1 of the season starts off in f-ing Lambeau Field against the Green Gay Fudge Packers? Look at this stat:
"Bears quarterback Rex Grossman is the only active NFL quarterback other than Brett Favre to have multiple regular season wins at Lambeau Field."
Or this:
"CURRENT STREAK: The Bears have won three of the last four meetings with the Packers and two consecutive while sweeping the season series in 2005. Chicago has also won two consecutive games at Lambeau Field, including the first career head coaching victory for Lovie Smith, 21-10 on Sept. 19, 2004"
For those of you hating against Rex, I would kindly like to remind you of the end of the season last season where he came out to the field after two back-to-back career-ending injuries and re-ignited the Bears offense. It was only sad to see that the Bears DEF didn't play as well as they normally did during the playoffs against Carolina.
But that was last season. This season will be inshaAllah'ta'ala magnificent. Even if Rex starts off a little rusty, our Bears DEF is so amazing, mashaAllah, that they are one of the greatest offenses in the NFL today, too. May Allah bless the Bears with tawfeeq [success]. Ameen!
Game starts at 3:15pm CST today. And now, The Chicago Bears in pictures:
