Bears Week 1: WIN

Hey

With all the happiness in the world, I'm delighted to announce that the Bears massacred the ugly Green & Gold -- the GB Packers. Takbeer! Allahu akbar!

They were shut out. 26 - 0.

The first time this has happened to Favre. Another strong clear indication that the old man needs to retire ASAP. ("It was the first time the Packers were shut out since a 10-0 victory by the Bears on Oct. 17, 1991 -- a streak of 233 games. It was the fourth-longest such streak in league history and second-longest active streak." -- espn.com)
Now you might hear people talk about how the Bears didn't convert in the red zone, but I urge you to keep in mind that this was the first game of the season and that Rex Grossman is still relatively inexperienced. I mean, he's never played a complete or majority of a season. When he came back last year, he sparked the offense and this year he continues to do it. Amazing throws and catches from our TE (Clark), Moose, the 49 yard bomb to lightning quick Bernard Berrian. It was truly phenomenal and extremely encouraging.

The fricken media prior to this game kept the pressure and hate on Grossman so high that I heard Bears "fans" say things like Rex needs to go! Put in Griese! Well, look now, punks!

Here, read this yourself:

Grossman Stats:
18 of 26 for 262 yards.
1 INT. (Not the end of the world, but something he needs to be more cognizant of)
1 TD
3-0 at Lambeau Field

Favre Stats:
15 of 29 for 170 yards.
2 INTs.
0 TDs.

The quest for the Super Bowl begins. Bismillah...

:)
