Viva Las Vegas

Sup?

Well, in about three weeks I'll be hittin up Las Vegas for the first time. Much like Paris, I'm told by my mom that I have to take her to Vegas, too! LOL. We'll see about that, Mom! ;)

So here's what we all know Vegas is known for:

1) Gambling and elaborate casinos
2) Strip clubs
3) Getting married in a drunken haze by Elvis
4) Clubs filled with half-naked drunk and high women.
5) Just getting drunk in general and engaging in other haram things all the while justifying to yourself, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." The good old paradigm of the ends justifying the means. Works wonders for making you feel good about yourself!
6) It's called the City of Sin.

So, considering the above, what the hell does this leave me to look forward to about going to Vegas, people??? I mean, a good 99% of Vegas is out of the question for me! I guess I'll be left with checking out a masjid out there that's supposed to be pim...err, really nice (somehow, saying "pimped out" wouldn't be right here, no matter the intention!). I guess in a few weeks time I'll know the answer.

Okay, but seriously, I am going to Vegas! I know that I won't be bored there so I'll stop playing it down so much. The hotels/casinos out there I'm sure are by themselves worth checking out. It'll be like going on an architecture tour of a historic city. Yeah, that's it. An educational tour. Perhaps I'll notice similarities between Vegas's architecture and say, Frank Lloyd Wright's organic design and approach to architecture. I could be onto something big here, folks...

Hopefully I won't fall into the Carlton Banks (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) syndrome where on a whim I play some random poker or slot game and 15 hours later I've gambled everything away...

Frick. The more I'm thinking of the possibility of what could go wrong, the more I'm realizing Vegas is gonna be my biggest challenge of all time...

Make dua for me! :)
