During the recent disappointing US Open, instead of planning or strategizing his next moves, Phil Mickelson was busy attending to his BlackBerry. Why?

To make updates to his blog.

I kid you not! Via his blog, he gave the at-home golf or Mickelson fan progress reports. And I have to say that the guy is absolutely hysterical. Check out excerpts ESPN got:

As a note: I couldn't actually find Phil's blog. Granted, not being a huge golf or Mickelson fan, I didn't conduct an in-depth search for it, but Mickelson's official website just might've been the interface for it. Regardless, the ESPN author who produced the column does in fact contribue to the usually entertaining (but sometimes raunchy) The Onion. I think the Mickelson blog updates are true, but read anyway because it is funny.
