Do Me Event #5: A Last Minute Success
AA Do Me Crew
A brief recap of the successful Do Me 5 to make up for a lack of pictures. Also, some critical information regarding Do Me 6:
(1) For those that missed out, you're on warning and/or probation. We hit up Outback and most were satisfied (especially our waiter as Aladdin inadvertently tipped him $40, MashaAllah). We then proceeded to Dairy Queen where we had good dessert and then played football in the parking lot. By the way, to make a statement about canceling his Do Me Evite, Fahad refused to allow me to pay for his dinner in my attempt to feel good about myself. (For the record: Fahad's contributions to Do Me are phenom, but the organization and bringing of people together is a burden I will carry.)
(2) I had a conversation with Aladdin on the way to Dairy Queen, but we both admitted it was difficult without me talking to him via my blog. Thus, this blog entry.
(3) The lack of presence of Saint Louis-bound Taha was poignant as we noticed that his evil counterpart, Hassan, was by himself. Attendees included: Eyad, Aladdin, Ahmed Hassan, myself, Badie, Fahad, and Reef. On that note, please officially welcome Reef to the DO ME Crew. (Hey, if we accepted Hassan, we can certainly welcome aboard Reef.) Congratulations, Reef.
(4) "Spider-man" and "Superman" are not necessarily the names of superheroes. "Eiffel Tower" also has new meaning. High Five, Fahad! Aladdin has an abundance of knowledge on these things; please see him for info.
(5) Fashion: Despite my disagreement, I was singled out by Aladdin as having a lack of style with my 1990s cargo pants and life jacket style. The life jacket and the matching coat over it will be the latest in '08, folks; get ready. Sami Haque was elected as trendiest dresser/most style despite Fahad's staunch disagreement, though it was Badie Ali that stole the night with his fashion presence (or dominance, I should say). Hassan promptly displayed his PRADA loafers, but was disqualified because you should at least buy your own clothing/accessories (Reef did note that Hassan's accessories are tops among Do Me guys). Fahad plans on ripping his jeans to become trendier. Maybe I should do the same to my khakis by ripping out the cargo pockets? Or if I keep them as is, I'll become a painter as Alaa mentioned.
(6) Do Me 6: The seven us that attended will InshaAllah be available next Saturday, 03-Nov-2007, for Do Me 6 consisting of football. Be ready to now do each other on the field. We're slated for an afternoon slot. Clear your schedules in advance. Oh yes, a lengthy, blog-worthy email invite for it is inevitable...
Until then

I would like to reiterate my views on cargo pants.
There are two and only two instances where cargo pants are acceptable:
1. If you are a contractor for Blackwater International or similar death squad in Iraq.
2. If you are a painter. Like of houses, not of portraits.
Thank you for your time.
Alaa
Mo Lest here, I would like to clarify a few unaccurate statements on the blog of this sad, sad man.
First off I am an excellent planner and had I not been CB'ed due to someones ego or whatever it is, my event would have been smooth as well. The only reason this event was successful is b/c a.) I picked dairy queen and b.) I bought the football out and c.) Imran chose to wear a tek vest which made him an easy target..
Second off, Outback was terrible. My burger was terrible and Im confident I could have made it better myself. I also recall several people saying we should have done aminahs next door, which is also what I suggested. So basically you should listen to Mo since he knows whats he talking about half the time.
Third off, yes I did get jealous when Samis name was mentioned as the best dresser/most trendiest. I was really hoping it would be me. I did however point out the analogy of Badie: Alaadin, AH: Taha, and Myself: Sami.
Fourth off, can we formulate the teams right now so I have a chance to give my team the playbook? I would send out an email, but Im not sure if Im allowed to do that so as not to bruise 2pacs ego. Pac, can I do that or can only you do that?
Bottom line is I had a great time and even though I felt a bit salty for some events, it really didnt matter who sent out the evite, where we met up or what we did. We always manage to make things interesting no matter what we do, cuz thats how awesome we are. LONG LIVE THE DO ME CREW!!!

Asalaamu alaikum
Badie "82mph fastball" Ali here, I would like to thank everyone for their efforts. I believe Fahad gets the biggest accolade (sorry Pac) for taking the initiative. However, thank you Imran for saving the day! I would like to thank our Muslim brothers Eyad and Prince for leading a good example and fasting (making all the rest of us feel guilty). I would like to thank Alaa for insisting I make it out, considering getting stuck late at work. I would like to thank Areef for joining the crew. He will be a pleasant edition to the "Do Me Crew" (DMC). I would also, generally, like to thank all of you for "DOING ME". Most of all, I would like to thank myself, for being as cool and handsome as I am. I really bring excitement ot myself. :)
Thanks again and I can't wait until our football game. Real Men use blades!
Peace out!
LOL. Good stuff, guys. In response:
Alaa: I get it. I will do away with the cargo pants! But, in my defense, they weren't cargo pants with the HUGE pockets. They were flat, dammit!
Mo L.: First, do me. Second, I've told you to stick to BP & Ice Cream Social coordination! Dang it! In my defense here, I think our egos are about the same size here, but your last sentence summed it all up! And we made our peace today via txt! Masood & Pac in '08!
Badie: You are are the chief operations officer of a major multimedia conglomerate (mA) and are hot! (Never let Prince look at your wife's driver's license again!)
