If only I were in professional sports...
Frick!
This article that a friend of mine at work forwarded to me really brought tears to my eyes.
From ESPN:

I wonder if these baseball players (and professional sports players in general) realize exactly how much money they get for being physically fit?! I mean, even losers get bonuses that would alleviate the financial burdens of entire impoverished communities! I guess the phrase, it's all relative, comes to mind as I'm sure that ppl who are accustomed to millions of dollars (money at their disposal) don't even think twice about receiving, for example, an extra $191, 985.45 for losing the World Series. I mean, they're probably like, Is that it?!
Of course, you know I have to mention Latrell Sprewell now and how $20M was not enough to feed his family. What? How big is your family, dude? Hmm, may be he was actually making a political statement and we were all just none the wiser? Think about it: He could've used the word "family" to describe the entire African family. Yes, I see the truth in his statement now! It all make sense. How could you have been wronged like this, Latrell?! This is pure racism! The intolerance! The ignornace! It's maddening! On behalf of the world, Sprewell, I'm sorry. So very sorry.
Okay, getting back to MLB: It's crazy! As you will read in the article, freakin non-wild card 2nd place teams were given at least $7800/player!! It's like, "Here's a free month of mortgage that you'll need for your beach home resort in Aruba. Hopefully you'll feel better about yourself and more confident about your game for next year. Now avoid stress and enjoy your 5-month vacation time now."
Alright, I'm gonna stop now. Otherwise I'm gonna get into how my mom should've allowed me to play football in high school like I wanted. Let's just say that I should be Rex Grossman/Kyle Orton right now...
Peace, G-Money!
